Royd Hendriks | European Recruitment Manager

Hi my name is Royd Hendriks, and I have been involved with rugby for almost 20 years. I played most of my life for a small club in the south of Holland. I´v been a youth trainer-coach throughout my rugby career. I am a level 2 trainer/coach now. I have lots of experience in giving clinics at local schools. For the past few years I have lived in Amsterdam. Here I came in contact with bigger parts of northern European and Dutch Rugby. I am currently active a number of top clubs in the National competition in both Mens' and Womens' 15's. I have been active in all kinds of rugby: player, captain, team manager, trainer/coach (mens, womens and youth), I want to use my knowledge of the diversity of rugby in my new function with Rah Rah Rugby. I've been on many occasions to other parts of Europe to explore rugby in Europe. With all my enthusiasm I want to explore Rugby Europe and recruit players for European Rugby Clubs. With the experience I have from my Sports Economics and Communication studies, I hope to help as many players, coaches and clubs as possible. Give young players the ability to travel and go abroad and explore the world trough Rugby.

In April 2013, Royd commenced his role as European Manager for Women's Rugby Recruitment.

In April 2013, Royd was appointed as National Team Manager for The Netherlands Women's XV.

~ K de Schutter - Dutch Rugby Board

"Royd has been nothing but an absolute pleasure from start to finish. His professionalism, dedication to player satisfaction and honesty were just some of the key attributes which I feel set him apart from other rugby agencies. This was highlighted in my latest dealing with Rah Rah Rugby, when a Rah Rah sevens team was entered into the Find Rugby Now tournament in London. Pulling players from all over the world to play together in an "international" team was a first for Rah Rah Rugby. The bonds that were formed on and off the field will last a life time and also create opptuneies for players to be exposed on a national/international level with Rugby seven now becoming a an Olympic sport. If you are  looking for assistance in securing a new club and furthering your rugby careers not just in 15s but also 7s, then Royd at Rah Rah Rugby is the man to call!"
